Meet The Team: Dan (Production Team)

Meet The Team: Dan (Production Team)

After studying Carpentry & Joinery at college, Dan decided to specialise in furniture production. He started as a Furniture Manufacturing Apprentice with us in February 2022. He has recently passed his apprenticeship with a distinction and now works with us full-time in the workshop.

His role at Made Interiors involves all areas of furniture manufacturing and production, including machine operation and assembly. He has also recently started training in fitting furniture in our customers’ houses which he is really enjoying. His favourite thing about working here is the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, making it easy for him to fit in when he first joined.

His favourite product range is the Chatham Raised Panel doors in the Rockingham Range. He especially likes these in Superior Matt Marine Blue finish as it is very smooth and the colour matches his bedroom!

In his spare time, Dan enjoys walking his dog, going for a beer in the pub and watching football (but not playing it).

Our Ranges Explained

Our Ranges Explained

With so many different styles, colours and finishes to choose from, it can be overwhelming when deciding on your new furniture. You might like the look of our products but don’t know where to start in understanding what each range has to offer. In this blog, we have laid out our 4 different ranges and explained the main details that differentiate them.

All of our ranges are available for fitted wardrobes, door replacements or any fitted interiors you’re looking for. All styles are fully customisable and made-to-measure so will be guaranteed to fit your space perfectly.

Salcey Range (5 Piece)

Our Salcey Range, also known as 5 Piece, is modelled on classic shaker principles. Shaker doors are typically internal or cabinet doors with simple construction, a central panel and a raised rectangular frame.

The pared-back style, simplicity and perfectly proportioned frame make shaker doors a firm favourite. Our 5 piece doors provide a traditional, handmade aesthetic but also allow for a flexible design through different styles, finishes and handles. We offer 3 door styles in our Salcey Range – Dylan, Fenwick and Bastille which all put their own subtle spin on the classic shaker door, allowing you to find your perfect match, right up to the minute details.

Kingswood Range (Painted)

Our Kingswood Range, also known as Painted, is exactly what the name suggests – painted. The distinctive crafted aesthetic of a painted door creates that hand-finished flair that makes your interior feel a little bit more personal. It goes without saying that our Painted Range gives you more options and allows for more flexibility. By choosing the perfect colour and finish you are able to make a room your own and match your personal style and flair.

Wakerley Range (Edged)

Our Wakerley Range, also known as Edged, consists of 5 contemporary door styles designed with versatility and functionality in mind. Characterised by sharp lines, perfect proportions, and distinctive edging, Wakerley provides flexible design solutions that are both simple and modern.

The Benefits of Replacement Doors

The Benefits of Replacement Doors

Your kitchen cabinet or wardrobe doors are one of the most important elements of your home interior. The state of these doors will either make or break your look, and define the interior standards of your home.

If you fancy refreshing your kitchen or bedroom furniture but don’t have the money or time to undertake a whole renovation, then simply replacing the doors could be the perfect solution.

Upcycling and refurbishing furniture is a trend that will never go out of fashion and there are plenty of reasons why it is so popular. We will guide you through some of the benefits of replacement doors and clarify why our door replacement service might be the best option for you.

More Economical

Probably the biggest benefit of using replacement doors is that it is a cheaper option. It makes sense that just replacing the doors of your furniture would cost a lot less than replacing the whole cabinetry. It involves a lot fewer materials and less time fitting so the cost is considerably lower.

If your budget is smaller but you still want a big impact transformation, replacing the doors is the most cost-effective way to do that.

Less Hassle and Time

As well as saving you money on materials and fitting costs, door replacement will also take a lot less time and cause you less hassle.

There is no need to remove kitchen appliances, cut back carpets or worry about plumbing and electrics. Your furniture layout will stay exactly how it was built, just with a new exterior.

You can choose a convenient time for us to deliver and fit your new doors, and the job can be completed in as little as 1-2 days depending on the size. That means less time living in a cluttered space and more time enjoying your new look!

Made-to-Measure

Our door replacement service offers a made-to-measure option so we can manufacture your doors to perfectly fit your existing furniture. No matter how awkward you think the size or shape of your cabinets is, we can create doors to fit any space.

Personalise Your Space

With interior design trends continuously changing, your style has probably adapted since you first chose your kitchen cabinets or wardrobes. Whether you’re feeling like your interior is a little old-fashioned or you’ve recently reinvented your style, your home should reflect your current preferences and character.

With so many door styles, colours, handles and finishes to choose from, you will never be short of choice. Whether you’re wanting a drastic new look or just some subtle changes, our collections cater for everyone. We can also offer a paint match service to match any existing colours or furniture you might have your eye on.

More Environmentally Friendly

In this day and age, we are all looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact, and upcycling furniture is a great way to make your home renovation greener.

By not throwing away your older cabinets and instead just renovating the doors, you are wasting fewer materials and using less materials in the production process too.

We use high-quality materials for our replacement doors meaning the product will last longer, and the longer it lasts the better for the environment it is.

Meet The Team: Mat – ‘The Technical Production Guy’

Mat is the Co-Owner and started Made Interiors alongside his brother Jon.

With a joinery and production background, he has always had a passion for woodwork and wanted to start a related business that allowed him to work through all stages of creating high-quality fitted furniture.

Mat’s role includes a little bit of everything but he predominantly runs the workshop and takes care of all elements of manufacturing: including designing, woodwork and installation. His focus is on producing the best quality products and achieving high customer satisfaction; he loves to see his hard work pay off in the final result of a project.

Although he values the local side of the business, Mat’s vision for the future of Made Interiors is to expand the company into the e-commerce world and develop an online product range.

Mat’s favourite range is the Tribeca Range in Indigo Blue because of its smooth matt surface and contemporary simplicity.

In his spare time, he loves riding his motorbike, walking his dog and going to the pub.
